Dentin Dental is a group practice in Modesto with two dentists and a friendly team. We think a dental office can have some color and still take your teeth seriously.
We explain what we find, show you the options and put the cost in writing before treatment starts. Then the decision is yours.

Founder and general dentist
General and cosmetic dentistry, from checkups to whitening and veneers. Dr. Serrano talks through each option, and what it involves, before you choose. She sees patients in English and Spanish.
General dentist
Fillings, crowns and clear aligners for straightforward cases, with a referral to an orthodontist when a bite needs more than that.
Dental hygienist
Larissa cleans teeth, checks your gums and shows you how to look after them between visits. She works with both dentists.

We take digital X-rays and use a scanner for some treatments, and we show you the images on the screen so you can see what we see.

Open Monday to Saturday, and a first visit takes about an hour. For a toothache or a broken tooth, call and we'll fit you in when we can.
For whitening, bonding or veneers we match shade and shape to your face, and we tell you what each one involves, including what can't be undone.

About an hour: an exam, X-rays if your dentist decides you need them, and a talk about what was found. You leave knowing your options, and you can ask for them and their cost in writing. Bring your insurance card, a photo ID and a list of your medicines.
Ask us by plan. We file claims for PPO and indemnity dental plans, and whether a plan counts us as in network depends on the plan. Give us its name and we'll look it up before you book. The How fees work page lists plan types and what each means for you.
You pay the fee for your visit, and we put it in a written estimate before treatment begins. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
We numb the area before we start, and you can raise a hand for a break at any point. We can't promise you won't feel anything, but we'll stop and adjust whenever you ask.
Yes. Dr. Serrano and Dr. Jaber see children once they're comfortable sitting for an exam. For a very young child, or one who needs more support, we may suggest a pediatric dentist.
Swelling that spreads to your face, eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, a serious blow to the head, or bleeding that won't stop needs emergency care now: call 911 or go to an emergency room. For a toothache or a broken or knocked-out tooth, call us right away and we'll fit you in the same day when we can.
Yes, and you don't have to be paying yourself to ask. We write down the treatment, the visits it takes and what it's expected to cost, before it starts.
